Hydroponics

GGO International Management product range complements a hydroponic growing environment providing. Commercial hydroponic food production method allows on average four times the amount of crops in the same space as traditional soil-based farming, and it can guarantee a faster growth for many kinds of crops. Hydroponics can be a valid alternative to produce food in areas that are not rich in natural resources, such as deserts or even urban buildings.

GGO International Management builds soil. We increase yields, plant and crop health; reduce watering needs, fertilizer and input expenses, and can eliminate - or reduce to a fraction - pesticide and fungicide application. It's what we do.

We accomplish these tasks by supporting and developing the soil biology, the microorganisms, the life in the soil. This soil life, the base of the biological pyramid known as the 'soil food web', has soil bacteria, and fungi, as the lowest and broadest two levels. The plants which we see above ground (and the animals which eat them), are the top of the pyramid.

This system, which exists nearly wherever plants grow, is possible because all the life in the soil, at every level of this great pyramid of terrestrial life, this multi-level game of eat-or-be-eaten, requires air. Oxygen. They are aerobic lifeforms, and thrive only in an aerobic soil. Deprive them of this aerobic environment, by filling the air spaces in the soil with water, and they will not survive.

When the aerobic life at the bottom of the soil food web die, the entire pyramid rolls up from there. It takes a few days to a few weeks.

Hydroponics, in the broadest sense of the word, is growing plants without soil. The plants may float in a nutrient solution, with their roots trailing in the solution itself; or the plants may be rooted in a soilless medium such as perlite. Vertical growing in stacking pots, with a metered nutrient solution, is another method of hydroponic growing.

GGO IM builds soil. But when there's no soil, there are still opportunities for our products to improve the yield and health of hydroponic farms.

Typical Greenhouse issues:

Whitefly - The greenhouse whitefly is a common pest of tomatoes, cucumbers and some ornamentals. Chemical control is difficult because the eggs and immature larvae have a waxy coating that resists chemicals. Whitefly populations have also developed resistance to commonly used pesticides, even to the recently introduced synthetic pyrethrins, which it was hoped would replace the organophosphorus and organochlorine insecticides. Repel's combination of natural essential oils in aqueous solution can prevent whitefly infestation in your greenhouse. Apply Repel as a 1 - 1.5% solution to all plant surfaces. Also apply Repel not only to the plant but to the areas in the greenhouse where the whitefly can hide - floors, benches, any area not actively growing.

Fungus - Fungal diseases in a greenhouse can be airbourne, water-bourne, soil-bourne. Plant Armour protects your greenhouse against all three methods of fungal infection. It will also kill on contact many of the fungal pathogens commonly found in greenhouses. Plant Armour also raises your plants natural defeces against fungal pathogens.

Bacterial infestation - Plant Armour is also effective against a wide range of gram-negative bacterial pathogens. Untreated these can spread rapidly through a greenhouse. Plant Armour can prevent rapid infection of an entire greenhouse by these bacterial pathogens.

Organic vegetables, and particularly farm animals are raised without the use of drugs, hormones, or synthetic chemicals, and are not subjected to ionizing radiation to improve shelf life. The animal feed must be grown without pesticides, herbicides or inorganic fertilizers.
